Where Talk Meets Action
Scholarship and School Retention Program
In 2019, we established an Education Trust Fund that has provided scholarships for primary school education to children in Northern Nigeria. Our first cohort of scholars graduated to secondary school and are doing well.
We work to keep children in school by supporting tuition payments, providing learning resources, and offering mentorship. We also maintain a close relationship with educators and the families of our scholars to ensure their long-term success.
We aim to expand our scholarship program to encompass secondary and university education through an innovative flagship education endowment. A financing vehicle and social fund to support Nigerian children.
Sustainability & Environmental Education
We have educated more than 500 children and young adults on sustainability in Lagos, Nigeria, using resources from the World’s Largest Lessons.
Through school clubs, creative workshops, and interactive content, we introduce children to sustainability in ways they can understand, teaching them how their everyday actions affect the world around them.
We are a proud winner of the 2018 Small and Medium Enterprise (SME 100 Africa) prize for Education due to the exemplary impact the non-profit has had on educating children in primary and secondary schools in Lagos, Nigeria about the Sustainable Development Goals.
Entrepreneurial Training
We have educated entrepreneurs on embedding sustainability into their business models through the “Lunch and Learn” series hosted at co-working spaces for start-ups in Lagos, Nigeria.
Our programmes support young entrepreneurs and small business owners with the tools to build resilient, eco-conscious businesses. We aim to offer practical knowledge that works.
Community Response & Outreach
We have impacted various communities in the country through regular community feeding initiatives in under-served and less-privileged communities in Lagos, Nigeria. We’ve had to honor of providing urgent resources and relief items to internally displaced communities after environmental events such as floods and fires in Benue and Lagos, Nigeria.
From charity drives to tree-planting events and emergency support, we show up when it matters. Our team listens to local needs and works hand-in-hand with communities.
Digital Learning Hubs
We are creating resources on how climate affects the African child and plan to build low-cost digital learning centres, creating engaging eco-themed games, and partnering with fintech companies to expand access to funding and education across hard-to-reach areas.
Climate Children's Book
Our new children’s book series that blends storytelling with environmental lessons is designed to make climate education fun and accessible in schools across Nigeria.
